Supporting the Church
Dear friends in Christ,
We hope you will consider continuing to support our church at this time of crisis. We are cutting costs where appropriate, but it would be of immense help if you would consider supporting the parish by setting up a regular standing order. The relevant form can be emailed to you upon request.
If you are a UK tax-payer, please consider gift aiding your donation. We can claim 25% more on top of any donation you make at no expense to yourself. The relevant form can be emailed to you upon request.
Your donations will enable the parish to meet the costs of the upkeep of the church while serving your needs. They will make it possible for us to be ready to welcome you back when this crisis comes to an end. Thank you for your support.
You may not be aware that, as a Church, the parish receives absolutely no money from the UK Government (except for Gift Aid tax refunds of course). Neither do we receive any funds from the Goverenments of Greece/Cyprus. Though in Greece and Cyprus there might exist financially robust churches, we are not a wealthy church and we receive no support from the Church of Greece or the Church of Cyprus. Here at St. Charalambos' all the parish’s costs, such as heating, lighting etc are paid for by you through your generous and prayerful giving. God has blessed us before and He will bless us again. He is the provider for all our needs.
The second Covid-19 wave seems harder than the first one— let’s be calm, compassionate and courageous. Let us join together to support each other and pray that we may know God’s presence and share it with others.
We thank you in advance.
"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you!"
[2 Thessalonians 3:16]
