Programme

of Church Services

Our Priest-in-charge is Fr David Somalis.  He is supported by an amazing team of volunteers; could you be one of them?

Our former priest-in-charge, Fr Nicholas Kokkinos, remains in close contact with our community.

The Sunday Service starts at around 8.45 am with Matins (Orthros-Utrenia-Morning Prayer) and the Divine Liturgy (Eucharist) commences at approximately 10.00 am. The Divine Liturgy normally finishes sometime after 11.30 am (unless otherwise stated).

If there is a  weekday service for a Feast, it would start at 9.00 am and finish at around 11.00 am (unless otherwise stated).

Please note that the time church services finish is approximate as there may be a service to commemorate the departed (mnimosino) or the living (eorti).

For baptisms, weddings, funerals, memorial services, house blessings, churching of babies, bringing Holy Communion to the sick and homebound and visiting the grave of a loved one in a nearby cemetery, please email or ring to make an appointment and get further instructions or speak to the parish clergy or a member of the Church Committee after the service. Such services can be celebrated in whatever language is most suitable for the families and communities concerned: English, Greek, Romanian, Church Slavonic.

After the Sunday Service tea, coffee and various refreshments are offered at the Church Hall. This is an opportunity to meet with other members of the church community and give one another mutual support and encouragement. Help is always needed to make the coffee etc, and that too is a very valuable ministry.

Please come and worship with us whenever you can. This is the greatest possible contribution you can make to the life of our community. We would always be grateful for your prayers so that with God's grace we may continue to serve his people in the area.
